Visited the Savill Garden at Windsor Great Park on Boxing Day, our plan being to have a walk in the sunshine and get some fresh air.
Entry to this garden is free at the moment, so you only pay for the Car Parking according to how long you stay and you are in easy reach of other parts of the Park without moving the car.
Not a lot of colour at this time of year, but some colourful stems and the blue sky reflected in lakes and ponds made for some colour. The walk was very pleasant and there are no steep climbs in this area.
After the walk around the Garden, we went out into the Park and walked further - down to a lake and then back to the car. Up to 2 hours costs £4 on the parking and we were just within that zone. This cost can be considered reasonable, as the entry to any other Gardens can be quite high for each person and, even if we had gone to 3 hours, the next price is £6 - basically £2 per hour and once you get past 5 hours £10 is the top limit.
