We visited the Savill Garden that forms part of Windsor Great Park, on Sunday, for a walk and the chance to see some early blooms as colour starts to return to the gardens.
There was certainly a chill in the breeze, but it was quite pleasant in the sun when it peeked out from behind the clouds.
Soon after entering the Garden, we were treated to an array of colour that consisted of snowdrops , hellebores and crocuses of varying strains.
Ducks paraded around the shallow stream that flows between the lake and the small pond, together with their 7 chicks, while Mallards enjoyed a dip nearby.
Continuing our walk past plenty more crocuses and snowdrops and narcissus, out past the Dry
Garden, we came to the temperate house.
Here we saw more colours and varieties, with a perfectly formed Pink Camellia grabbing my attention.
We returned to the car park via the same route as it was the driest option following plenty of recent rainfall, feeling that Spring is just around the corner .........
