Wonderful Broadstairs

We visited the bays just up the coast from Broadstairs a few weeks ago and decided to return to look around Broadstairs itself.

It is a lovely 'old style' English seaside town, which has retained a lot of its' charm.

The coloured beach huts quickly caught my eye, as did the old buildings down by the quayside.

The Tartar Frigate is an 18th Century flint restaurant and looked particularly attractive.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, which was made even more pleasant by the wonderful weather that day. The town has plenty of history and charm and we had a very nice walk after parking out of town to the south. Our visit happened to coincide with the annual Food Festival, with plenty of food stalls along the promenade near Victoria Gardens.
