Nymans is a National Trust property that is relatively close to home, so suited my desire to get out for a sunny winter afternoon walk and photo trip.
What struck me quite early in my walk, was the high number of snowdrops on view. I chose to take some close-up views of them. The crocuses that were out, were not accessible by foot, so I could not get close enough.
Continuing around the footpaths, I ventured into one of the segregated garden areas and noticed some Helebores providing some welcome colour to the scene. Plus, the sun was catching the yellow on a bush in mid-distance.
Further round the property, I saw a corner of tree and garden that was well lit by the sun and looking very colourful.
The blue sky was accentuated by the polariser filter I was using, while the stalks and the green foliage of the Bamboo on the right added colour. More colour was provided by the dogwood in the foreground of the garden and the scene was completed by the graphic detail of two bare trees. I was very drawn to the mix of colours on view and set about capturing them, using my wide-angle lens 'cos even the short end of my zoom was not wide enough.
