I had a few hours out at Warnham Nature Reserve, Horsham, West Sussex as forecast said sunny and warm - not quite a seasonal expectation but needed to make the most of it.
There are hides at various places around the lake, with Herons, Cormorants, Egrets and many ducks on view. Kingfishers apparently also on site and occasionally visible, but sadly not near me while I was there.
The main place I could take reasonable photos of birds, was at the hide where the garden birds congregate, due to the feeders set out there. Plenty of Blue Tits, Coal Tits, Chaffinch, Siskin, Goldfinch, Robins, a Long Tailed Tit plus others unidentified by me.
Birds quite a distance away even with the feeders, so that even with my Canon 100-400mm zoom at the 400 end and with 1.6 crop sensor on camera meaning that equates to 640mm they were still not big in the frame - meant big cropping in computer edits afterwards.
