I have recently 'discovered' the attraction of Earlswood Lakes, situated near Woodhatch just south of Reigate, Surrey.
There are two lakes, with the upper one used mainly for hireable boats for the public.
The lower one is nearer to the car park and gets occasionally used by model boat enthusiasts, but is particularly home to loads of Ducks, Geese and Swans.
At this time of year, several of these wildfowl have young ones around and the photo opportunties are there and just require patience.
I spent an enjoyable couple of hours there, trying to capture photos of the various families of wildfowl.
One family of Mallards had a group of 6 young ones - just cute little balls of fur - and I managed to get some nice pics of the 6 with their Mum.
There were plenty of young Coots and I caught a few nice pics of a Mum feeding her young ones.
There were also 3 really cute young Canada Geese, posed at one point with their parents on a partially submerged tree trunk.
