Usually on Members Meeting weekend I would be heading to Goodwood for a thrilling race meeting, but being unable to secure a ticket left me racking my brain for an alternative day out where I could take some photos along the way.
I eventually decided to visit the pretty Kent village of Goudhurst, which is where we lived for the first 10 years of my life. I opted for a reasonably quick start to the day, hoping to avoid having too many parked cars on the sides of the main street in the village.
After an hour and a half of shooting various angles around the village, I opted to head for Dungeness via a quick visit to Lydd Kart Circuit to check out the amazing transformation that the place has undergone since I was last there.
My plan was to return to Goudhurst around mid afternoon, as the church tower would be open to the public between 2.30pm and 5.30pm.
