It's a while ago now, but little did I realise when I attended the Mini Festival at Brands Hatch on 6th August that it was actually going to signal the end of my Motorsport season for 2023.
At that time, I had high hopes of attending at least a couple more meetings but those plans fell through for mainly work related reasons as I ended up covering hours at work when I thought I was going to Brands.
This years Mini Festival lived up to expectations, with some great racing that was as typically close and exciting as the Minis usually provide.
The highlight for me was a double victory in the Mini Miglia races for my mate Nick Padmore, the first after an epic scrap that involved several different drivers and place changes.
