Seaford Sunset

On Sunday we drove to Seaford with the aim of taking sunset photos. At this time of year, the sun sets 'out to sea' on this stretch of coast so I knew that I could take the photos without cliffs are harbour walls in the background. That opportunity also allowed me to use my reverse grad ND filter to retain foreground detail while strengthening the sunset colours.

That morning, I checked the tide times in addition the weather forecast and came up with a plan, whereby I hoped to have swirly breaking wave motion in the foreground and lovely sunset colours maybe reflected in the sea behind plus the obvious colours in the sky.

Now, occasionally, plans come together and everything works out and on this day mostly that happened. I would have liked a bit more colour and small cloud in the sky, but hey what nature provided was very welcome and in line with my plans.
