Yellow, Blue & Green

Updated: May 6

A morning out in sunny conditions today, saw me photographing rapeseed fields, then bluebell woods.

The shots were a mix of yellow, blue and green at various points.

I started with rapeseed field at Leigh, Surrey. A public footpath allowed entry to the field, always a handy consideration. Great contrast between yellow of the crops and the blue of the sky, with a little bit of green from trees in between.

above was my first shot, but turning 90 degrees to my left, I noticed that the clouds formed nice streaks coming towards the camera so I changed my viewpoint.

I also visited another field alongside the M25 at junction 8, as I searched for inspiration on composition.

After that, it was off to Godstone, where I knew that I would find a vats carpet of bluebells in the woodlands at Tilburstow Hill (I knew from last year). There I experimented with composition and tripod height as I sought images that pleased the eye.

An interesting morning, good for my walking exercise to assist my health and good for my head getting out and trying to be creative.

Tomorrow forecast is terrible, so a day at home scanning for my archives beckons and makes today's trip out much more worth it. Update, I was correct with my choice, as the weather for Monday turned out to be a right old Dank Holiday !!!!!!
